How to request deletion

• Email engels@sonictaxusa.com with the subject “Data deletion request”, or call us at (305) 425-1251.
• Include your full name and the email address or phone number you used with us. If your request is about Facebook or Instagram, include the name or profile link of the account you messaged us from.
• Do not include your Social Security number, card numbers or other sensitive details in your request.

What happens next

• We confirm your identity so that nobody else can delete your information. We may ask you to verify through your portal login or a phone call to the number on file.
• We delete your information within 30 days of confirming your request, and tell you when it is done.
• We delete: your account and profile details, messages and comments we received from you on Facebook, Instagram, email and text, and documents you uploaded, except as described below.

What we may have to keep

The law requires tax preparers and credit-service providers to keep certain records for set periods, for example copies of prepared tax returns, signed agreements, and payment and accounting records. We keep only what the law requires, only for as long as it requires, and then delete it. If we cannot delete something yet, we will tell you what and why.

Facebook and Instagram data

If you sent us a message or commented on our Page or Instagram account, we can delete the copies we hold in our systems using the steps above. Your messages and comments also remain on Meta's platforms. To remove them there, use Meta's own tools: on Facebook, delete the message or comment from your activity; on Instagram, delete the message or comment from the conversation or post. You can also review and control the information Facebook and Instagram hold about you in your account settings.
